Boy, have I been busy this past month. And I'm not kidding...It was Christmas Eve and we were still rushing to buy a last few gifts before we had to wrap it all up. Even now there's still some things we have yet to buy...
And to top it off, we all got sick. Well, Mom and Moe did, and when they got better, I got sick on Saturday with a nasty, aching cold. I guess it's just this time of year....I was enjoying just laying around the house doing nothing, until the headache, sore throat, and stuffy nose came. It's slowly dissapearing, but yeah, it figures I'd get sick just when I don't want to. At least it didn't keep me away from any classes...
Anyways, it is now the last day of 2007! Wow...I'm actually going to miss 2007. I've come to love that number..that one and the age 15. I don't know why, but I really like it. Do I have to turn 16, Mom? *laughs*
So we're headed over to the Veer's tonight, as usual. Rebecca's birthday is today, even though she'll be having her party a different day this year.
Looking back on 2007(even though this is terribly out of order! my computer's acting up):
- My 15th birthday, complete with a major snowstorm and only 2 friends there. lol. We had fun doing nothing. XD
- Youth group and having lots of fun on the Fall Youth Retreat and Aquire the Fire(which were both awesome!) Haha and the ski trip was fun too even though I didn't ski and we all staying up until about 5am. =P
- Getting contacts in January. w00t lol. I still don't have new glasses...<_<>Middle Ages: Darkness Rising with Ellie and LOVING it!
- Visiting Indiana for Easter, which seems like AGES ago.
- Going to a little town in Iowa we called Little Holland and taking pictures like crazy of all the windmills in the spring
- Going to see Robin Hood (spring) and The Diary of Anne Frank (fall) put on by CB Productions
- Making History Drama Camp in June! I had a fun time playing a blonde LOL XD
- Going to WI to hang out with the Waters and Homolkas. Good times :)
- Family Camp in Alexandria at Lake Geneva over the 4th of July and having fun climbing that big iceburg on the lake and jumping on the trampoline and riding our bikes all over the place.
- Visiting Roseau and Katie and going up to Canada with the Ericksons and the Veers. We went to the zoo, the museum, and the planetarium.
- Katie and I freaking out over the pirate ship(as we called it. It was actually a cargo ship) in Canada at the museum and pretending to be pirates even though the man kept talking on and on about the ship's history. XD
- Making Video Wars: Episode 1 - the Darth Vader Dude with Katie, Hannah, Carrie, Moe and her brothers even though it's dumb and embarrasing but we love it anyway. (not to mention the outtakes and bloopers are almost longer than the movie itself) XD
- Going camping a billion times with all our camping friends.
- Not encountering any leeches at Gooseberry Falls this time. ;)
- Going up near Duluth with the camping peeps and seeing the Glensheen mansion where Hannah and I tried to attempt to solve an unsolved mystery...well, we were going to!
- Going swimming countless times at the Apple Valley pool with the Veers and Hailee and Jozee.
- Attempting to make another movie while Katie was in the cities for one day. It turned out worse than Video Wars! (but was fun)
- Going to see the collapsed bridge even though it was sad.
- Goin' to the Como zoo even though it was boring at times.
- Jozee's crazy sleepover and Hailee's too. :D
- Going to see countless movies, some good, some not so good
- Other fun birthdays that I went to
- South Heights and missing all my old buddies that have left, but cherishing all my new ones since this might be my last year going there.
- ACTING 2 with Carla and my acting buddies, some new, most old. Oh yeah, and scaring everyone by almost getting a concussion LOL. Good times! XD
- Going for a train ride in Osceola with my grandparents to see all the leaves changing colors.
- Going to see Les Miserables at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater!
- Mariah's cosmic bowling party - that was fun. :)
- Going to see Jane Eyre with all the acting classes and having an awesome time running around the Guthrie Theatre and stepping on that big yellow window in the floor. LOL
- Doing NaNoWriMo [ National Novel Writing Month ] (trying to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November) and almost driving myself insane! But I won! (although the novel is not finished and I hate it =P)
- Thanksgiving in Indiana, even though the bookstores there are small XD
- Literature class. I'm going to miss taking it at SH.
- Auditioning for Oliver Twist with other actors taking YEAH classes with Carla. Even though I didn't get in the play, it was so much fun!
- Christmas party with the homeschool group and caroling at the nursing home.
- Making gingerbread houses and having a great Christmas celebrating Jesus's birth.
- All the good 2007 laughs!
- And (drum roll please) reading 85! books this year (Let's just say I filled up 3 pages with the titles...^^ *whistle*)
My only regret was.....I never got to go paintballing! lol *wails* I'll just have to make up for it in 2008 *chuckle*
See y'all next year! =D

NaNo is Over!
W00tness! It's hard to believe I survived. That was a tough month. Heh, but I still look forward to doing it next year.
Gack, I have to make this post brief, so...I'm just going to say that I practically hate my NaNo and am never going to try to write historical fiction without any fantasy ever again. LOL! My novel will probably never get done.
Haha, so before I run off, watch the first video on the sidebar - it's HILARIOUS! I watch it all the time and it never fails to make me laugh! :D Even my dad laughed so hard when he saw it that tears came to his eyes ;).
Lol, enjoy!

Thanksgiving Break
Here I am in Indiana again, over Thanksgiving Break. The car trip was very very long. We were in the car from 10:30am to about midnight our time. I managaed to bring the laptop, along with Jeff's help, and I did write a little bit in the car, but the second time my words didn't save. I know it was over 1k and I wrote them over, but I don't think the new ones are as good.
This may be random, but as soon as November's over, I'm going to write a writing essay and submit it to the Florida Writering Conference to maybe win a scholarship. I can't go unless I get a scholarship, as it's way too much money, plus the cost of plane tickets. Mom would be coming with me, but I don't know how. Even though I'll be 16 then, I still can't go on a plane by myself...Not that I'd want to though. =P
I got to see my new second cousin, Aiden, for the first time yesterday. He's only 6 months, but he's so big he's wearing 12 month old clothes. He's so cute! When you hold him up, standing, on your lap, he loves to bounce and jump. Heh, it's kind of funny...Marlee's come out of her shell now. I've never heard her talk so much, ever!
Haha, well, I'm sick. I knew it was coming, so starting Thursday when the first hint of sore throat hit me, I took lots and lots of vitamin C. Well....it didn't help. It held it off though. Monday was the day when the sore throat stayed all day long. Now, I have a full- fledged cold...Well...almost. Stuffy nose, constantly sneezing, etc...I despise sickness. Why me? Why now!?!?!?!?
...
I'm alive though, even if it's in misery. So, today I have no idea what we're doing. Yesterday, we shopped, had family pictures taken, went out to eat with Jesse's family, and came back here. I fell asleep while Mariah watched The Two Towers and the rest went on a walk to the falls. It's sooo warm here! I was utterly surprised when we climbed out of the car in Iowa and Illinois to find that it was almost 70 degrees out! But today it's supposed to cold down alot but I hope it stays warm.
Ach, I'm tired, hungry, and my throat HURTS, so I'm going to go see if I can comfort myself by reading, researching, and writing. Lol, I haven't even touched my schoolwork...I really should do my Spanish today. I had a dream that tomorrow was South Heights, even though it's our week off because of Thanksgiving, and I hadn't done any of my homework, so I had to take notes and the mean guy teacher who I had no idea who he was made me retake the class or something...I don't know. It was really weird and I've forgotten most of it. Tootles!

Auditions for OIiver Twist!
I e-mailed Carla and got a reply: I get to memorize the Nancy and Rose monologues for the Oliver Twist auditions! W00000000000000000T!
I am SO excited! Those were exactly the two I was hoping for! *fist punch* Oh my word! I'm SO EXCITED! I hope I get in! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! The auditions are Tuesday, November 27th. Wish me luck, y'all and pray! Hee hee...I just read them and they sound great! I'm going to have to read the book, so I can understand what's going on and why they're saying what they're saying...lol, that sounds funny.
Ooh, we went to Chick night tonight and saw Sara Groves. She was amazing! It was so packed Hannah, Moe and I sat on the floor. I saw Mary there! =D Gaspers, and they had cheesecake! :O But by the time I got up there it was all gone! o_O Oh well...It was fun anyway, we bought her CD and everything. Ack, bedtime. I'm going to read at least one chapter of Oliver Twist before bed...

Jane Eyre
Boy, do I need to update this more. I guess I've been caught up with NaNo and my other blog...
Jane Eyre was last night at the Guthrie! Oh my goodness, I love that place! I carpooled with Rose and some friends of hers and then met up with Acting 2 there. It took us a while to get on the right elevator to go to the right floor, but we finally made it up to floor #9 and looked outside. There was this huge glass window on the floor, with this yellow light shining through. I don't know why everyone was so afraid to step on it...Like it'd be there if you couldn't! Lol...
During intermission we went outside, which was fun but cold! We found this really neat fire escape. Lol, I write about the weirdest things.
Anyways the play was very good. I liked it, but didn't love it. It grew on me I guess. I knew the story line, so I guess my brain thought I didn't have to listen to all the boring talking so my mind kept wandering LOL! Then I'd zone back in and wonder where we were in the play. The end was....different. =P
And my showcase for Acting 2 is coming along well. It's fun sort of getting to know my character. I've decided I like her, even if I don't have that many lines.
NaNo word count as of now: 14,680

Happy Birthday Moe!
My progress on NaNo will be posted on the other blog, but everything else of importance I shall state here, including...
Moe's birthday! She's 13! Wowsers....
I bought her something at Barnes & Noble today and I'll tell you what it is after I give it to her tomorrow. She's having a party, I think, but it was last minute.
4,430 words. Bedtime, soon.

NaNoWirMo
Ok, here I am, doing Nano for the first time this year! I've been racking my brain the last few days. Here's the link to my Nano Blog: http://shadownanowirmo.blogspot.com/
I've come up with a good plot, I think... It's going to be set around the Civil War (preferably near the end and after). 'Twil be about a girl, 18, 19 or so, who wants to be a writer. Her father and older brothers are fighting in the war, and she wants to help, but cannot. She helps in other ways though...Meanwhile, she's already written a book about God and stuff, but it's fantasy - so no publishers like it. The war ends, etc...She writes another book, I think. I haven't figured this part out yet. Stuff happens...Lol! I seriously need an outline...*ponders this*
Check back with you later! XD

The Diary of Anne Frank
We went to see The Diary of Anne Frank, put on by CB Productions on Saturday night. It was in credible, yet so sad. :( Carla did a great job, and the actors were amazing!
The girl who played Anne Frank was great for the part, even if she didn't look it that much. Abby was Margot, she was perfect! I recognized people from Robin Hood, otherwise the only person I really knew in it was Abby.
They did alot of stuff with real food, it was really neat. *sighs* Anyways, I can't wait for my chance to be in one of those plays...

Les Miserables!
Ack! I haven't written in forever! I've been so busy! *sniffs at her loss of past tresure point possibities* We were in WI too...I wanted so much to go to a bookstore. Heh, we went on a train ride there. 'Twas boring!
~<<:!LES MISERABLES!:>>~
Ok, first off, IT WAS AWESOME! Everying did a great job and had amazing voices and OOH I just loved it! I saw it with Mom, the Melody's(D+T) and Hannah's parents. =P
The hardest part for me was eating the dinner. 'Twas very good, and I loved it, but I was in total suspense for the play, I just wanted it to start, I didn't care about food! Rofl! And finally, after 3 hours, the show did start.
I really didn't know that it was all singing, but it wasn't all wierd - it was really well done. 'Cept for the innapropriateness at the beginning and the couple swear words...
'Young' Cosette was the cutest little girl with the most amazing voice ever! I liked her's the best out of everyone's...And I adore the song she sings 'Castle on a Cloud'.
Also, I loved Eponine. She had a great voice and was a good actor too. Gavroche! Oh, he did a good job. The other actor who was amazing was Thenadier. He was hilarious!!
Anyways...that's all I've got for now, better run off to school. *grumbles*

Broadway, Plays, and Auditions. Oh My!
Hey all, Shae here.
So...we went camping again. Heh, I am really sick of camping now.... =P We went so we could go with Melissa, Logan, and Josh. They couldn't come but at least Moe brought Lauren so it wasn't too boring. XD All I did was read...I finished Castaways of the Flying Dutchmen though (Good book; I really liked it)
GUESS WHAT! Oh my goodness gracious, you'll never believe what I get to go see!!! Les Miserables at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater!!!!!!!...etc...
Rofl! I can't wait! The funny thing is...I don't even know the story. I have to get the book and watch the movie before we go...Oh my goodness I'm so happy! Anyway, it's broadway. Anything that people say is good, I'll be happy to go see!
Ooh and I might audition for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever...Jacqueline told me about it. She did Oliver! with that same company...which again reminds me, I have to practice my British accent if I'm going to audition for Oliver Twist in November....GAH! Now I'm nervous...
*is so excited with all this talk of plays*
Speaking of acting...We're doing the scene where Anne smashes her slate on Gilbert's head in Acting 2 on Tuesday....I hope I'm Anne, that'd be so much fun. *daydreams*

Account of my Weekend
Hey all!
This last weekend has been quite hectic. Moe and I went to Jozee's party. First we froze at the pool, then we watched High School Musical 2 (big surprise, seeing her friends she invited, not including me. I could have gone without watching it, but I'll admit, some of the songs were pretty good...)
Then we did a pinata, cake and ice cream, and finally, a nice, warm bed. The next day was RAINY! Wooooot! I am SO happy! We had a party for Charlie at our house.
So yeah...yesterday, we went to church and I didn't get to hug Betsy and now she's moved back to Iowa for good. *cries* I'll miss them...Dad might possibly stay at our church, seeing as it's...changing...again. But I've decided I'll try out Harmony because Maggie said she's going there...
