Finish Last

So, lately I've been feeling like I really needed to post this note. I do daily devotions and stuff, but only God sees those and a lot of people don't know who I really am. While I can't describe everything I've been thinking and experiencing in this one note, I can give you an idea.

I don't know when I first listened to All Gas. No Brake. by Stellar Kart, but I know that when I did, this song immediately became one of my favorite songs of all time. Recently, all I've been going through really applies the whole album to my life. Many of the songs, Student Driver, for example, describe my life at this point in time perfectly. Wow, now I'm getting repetative. XD Here's the lyrics:

It's a promise, a legacy, a hope, a longing. I don't care about the standards of this world! And I don't care what people think of me, as long as they see Jesus shining through me. I've realized that little things like passing a test or getting straight As don't matter when it really comes down to it. In God's eyes I'm still the same, and he has great plans for me. I want to put others first, and therefore, finish last. Because in His eyes, the only eyes that truly matter, I'm finishing first.

As Jesus said in Mark 9:35, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

This is my goal, and biggest New Years revolution: to be a servant.

Okay, I have lots more to say, but my brain's going on overload right now, lol. So... expect another note in the near future. =P

PS: Wow, sorry to the long posting delay. To sum up the time that's passed: I won Nano, had a great Christmas break with family and friends, and have grown closer to God in the process. Way closer. ^_^
